CURRENTLY CLOSED

It is a coastal track running from Cape Tribulation to Wujul Wujul. And in the right conditions can be tackled by 2WD vehicles.

Accessing the track from the South, head up the Cook Highway to the Daintree ferry. You then head on up to Cape Tribulation.

It’s a steep but easy 30 km drive suitable for all 4wds and camper trailers (and 2WDs at times).

A Bit Of History Track

It was first an Aboriginal walking track. Then a packhorse track and now a road.  In the steeper sections and some creek crossings concrete had been laid and is maintained during the dry.

Douglas Shire Council has produced an excellent Ebook, ‘Bloomfield Track Experience Guide’ to help you along the way.
