Two Rivers To Cross

Frenchmans Track is 53km long and is for most part fairly easy.

If you travel from east to west the entry is at Yam Creek.

The real challenge on this track are the river crossings. One at Pascoe River and another at the Wenlock River.

Soon after the wet the rivers are high and fast flowing.

Pascoe River

It has a steep drop in and beware of hidden boulders as you cross. And a steep bare rocky exit.

Your drive between the rivers is on clay and narrow. It’s a struggle to drive a large vehicle along this track. But you do have the option of going around.

Wenlock River

This river crossing has an easy sandy drop in with a steep sandy exit.

Early in the dry season you will find some of the track quite boggy.
